Not a country readily associated with Rugby or Sevens, but Portugal have a few players who have been consistent International Sevens stars for a number of years.
The side finished 15th overall last season but like all teams on the world sevens circuit are able to cause an upset.
They will be an interesting team to watch at this year’s Gold Coast Sevens and will be there to play rather than simply make up the numbers.
