Coach: Paul John Always a tough opponent, the Welsh side have plenty of experienced International Sevens veteran players. Having created a great rivalry with Australia, the opening round of the World Series on the Gold Coast is set to be a blockbuster with clashes between the two nations regularly going down to the wire. Wales sevens are skilful and smart with a great passing game that uses the full width of the field so whilst they may not be as bruising as some of the other sevens combinations they’re just as lethal with the ball in hand.
